This is an antique silver plated cast brass door bell lever made by Sargent & Co. and shown in their 1888 catalog. This lever would have been mounted on the exterior door casing with a mechanical door bell on the interior side.
Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall size of the piece. Some minor loss to silver-plate where brass is showing and some slight tarnish.
The dimensions of the item are: Backplate 2-3/4" wide x 4-1/8" tall, lever 2-3/8" x 3/8", 1-7/8" protrusion. Shaft on back is 2-3/4" in length.
