This is an antique cast bronze entry door set in the "Ekado" design made by Sargent & Co. and shown in their 1888 catalog. The set consist of a pair of doorknobs on spindle, one set screw being newer, two door escutcheon plates, the mortise lock and strike plate, and a thumbturn backplate only. The mortise lock is missing the plunger buttons which activate the night latch function. The thumbturn backplate only is included.
Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall age of the piece. The mortise lock is missing the plunger buttons which activate the night latch function. The thumbturn is missing the turn and shaft. One set screw is newer.
