"Rice" pattern doorknob pair on 5/16" square spindle. Antique copper finish. Chinese and Japanese themes are prevalent in Victorian design. To complement these, the Yale & Towne Company of Stamford, Connecticut produced the "Rice" pattern in 1889. With a beautiful field pattern of scattered rice, this design is simple yet decorative.
