I RECENTLY ORDERED A SET OF KEYHOLE ESCUTCHEONS FOR A RESTORATION ON A FAMILY "HEIRLOOM" THAT WAS LOOKING PRETTY SHABBY AFTER 30-40YRS OF NEGLECT. THIS ONCE WAS A VERY PRETTY WASH BASIN WITH A NIAGRA MARBLE WORKS TOP. IT WAS PURCHASED AT AN AUCTION AROUND 1910-1912 AND HAD BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE. IT WAS LOOKING N PRETTY BAD SHAPE AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE LEFT IN THE FAMILY WHO WOULD TAKE IT! NO ONE WANTED THE RATTY OLD WASH BASIN I WAS TOLD SEVERAL TIMES BY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. BOY WERE THEY ALL SURPRISED WHEN THEY SAW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF FURNITURE THIS TRULY WAS. REPLACING THE MISSING HARDWARE AND CAREFULLY CLEANING THE DECADES OF CRUD AND WHO KNOWS WHAT OFF OF IT I WAS AMAZED MYSELF AT THE BEAUTY THAT WAS THERE ALL ALONG...BURLED WALNUT, AND BEAUTIFUL GRAINS, NO WONDER IT WAS PRIZED A HUNDRED YEARS AGO...AND STILL NOW! THANKS TO YOUR REPLACEMENT HARDWARE AND ITS QUALITY MANUFACTURE I AM PROUD TO SHOW THE "SHABBY OLD WASH BASIN" WHERE ALL WHO COME IN MY HOME CAN SEE IT, NEARLY EVERYONE COMPLIMENTS OR COMMENTS..I OWE IT TO YOU !! THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS DREAM A REALITY.
