This is an antique cast iron pocket door hanger called the "Richards Parlor Door Hanger" patent date May 24, 1881made by Wilcox Mfg. Co. Pocket doors were common as early as the 1850s, most of them used sheaves or rollers that were in the bottom of the door and ran on a track on the floor by the 1880s there were several patented top-hung hardware systems on the market. This is an earlier hanger before the merger of Richards Wilcox's manufacturing. No mounting bracket or adjustment screw included.
