This is an antique nickel plated cast bronze mechanical door bell lever or pull made by John Connell as part of his Connell's Patent Door Bells, circa 1873. This would have been mounted on the exterior of the door with a mechanical or rotary doorbell mounted in the interior of the door.
Good condition: showing minor signs of wear to finish but no excessive damage to the structure. The black enamel has worn off and there is some slight paint in the crevices.
The dimensions of the item are: 2-1/4" w x 6-1/4" h, 1-3/8" projection. 2-5/8" total depth including shaft.
