This is an antique cast bronze mechanical doorbell lever in the "Ekado" design made by Sargent & Co. and shown in their 1888 catalog. The "Ekado" design was design by Sargent and Co. Circa 1885. The “Ekado” pattern was designed by Hermann Jaworski for Sargent & Company with a delicate sporadic floral pattern within a trellis.

The dimensions of the item are: Bell 6" diameter, 2" projection, Lever 2-1/4" w x 3-1/2" h, 2" projection, shaft on back is 2-3/4" total.
