This is an antique cast iron Victorian Eastlake style spring-loaded cabinet latch, no keeper. There is a patent date of February 7 1871 on the bottom. Easy to install, this cabinet latch is surface mounted (screwed to the face of the door), no screws included. They are primarily used on cabinet doors, however they are also used on furniture doors, pantry doors, any door or window where a surface mounted latch is required. Dimensions of this item are: Latch is 1-9/16" x 2-1/8", 1-1/4" projection. The matching keeper is not available for this cast iron cabinet latch.
