This is an antique cast iron T-handle spring-loaded cabinet latch made by Sargent & Co. and shown in their 1888 and later catalogs. Easy to install, this cabinet latch is surface mounted (screwed to the face of the door). Screws are included. The keeper for these must sit up 1/32" above the surface of the door.
They are primarily used on cabinet doors, however they are also used on furniture doors, pantry doors, any door or window where a surface mounted latch is required.
Good condition: showing minor signs of wear to finish but no excessive damage to the structure. The finger loop has been bent down.
