Traditional Mechanical Door bell
  • $70.00
Qty:
Stella Rotary Doorbell, Antique Nickel. This is a traditional mechanical doorbell, the predecessor to the electric doorbell from the days before electricity. This bell is for use with a 3/16" square shaft turnkey, which is sold separately. The bell is mounted on the inside of the door, a hole is drilled through the door and the turnkey is mounted on the outside of the door to activate the bell.

Excellent! I love the bell! It's very similar to the one my childhood home had from the 1880s! Works great and is plenty loud enough!

Delighted! With the many things to do in our home renovation, wiring for the doorbell was forgotten. This turned out to be a fortunate oversight, because it led us to finding our mechanical doorbell on the Historic Houseparts website. We are delighted with the way it looks on our front door, and the sound is loud enough to alert us (and our dog!) when we have a visitor. In addition the customer service was personal and great!
