Large Antique Amber Arts & Crafts Style Stained Glass Window

Product Image Gallery:
This simple and elegant stained glass window features amber slag glass in the body and an intricate border of amber, greens, blues and purples with small foliate emblems at the top and bottom. This large window was part of a pair of casement windows which were hinged within a frame, probably in a staircase landing. We have both windows but are selling each one separately. Slag glass, also known as marble glass or malachite glass, is a type of opaque, streaked pressed glass. Production of slag glass originated in late-19th-century England, where glass manufacturers are thought to have added slag from iron- smelting works to molten glass to create a range of effects—from tortoiseshell to marbling. The variations in color and depth that slag glass provides make this style of glass ideal for windows and lamps, providing privacy in windows yet allowing light into rooms. This window has a simple style which lends itself well into any decor but particularly Arts & Crafts style interiors.

Great item!

Perfect piece for the icebox I refinished that came out of my childhood home! Made the icebox look like it did when it came out of the factory.

Good Product

Our brand new porcelain sink developed cracks almost immediately after install. The cracks then flaked off until we were left with deep, wide cracks. We needed a filler as part of the repair. This was a Godsend! It went on perfectly. We had to do several applications to fill in the damage, but it was worth it. Highly recommend if you need to fill.

Beautiful piece with historic flair

I absolutely love this addition to my home. I own a home built in 1905 and this was the perfect piece to give it that extra character it needed. People are fascinated every time they come over and end up ringing it over and over again!

Great candles!

I purchased these candle covers to replace the ugly gold ones on my dining room chandelier. They make my 15 year old chandelier look like new!

Perfect addition to any home

I got this piece to go along with our turn that we also purchased and this is absolutely beautiful. Easy install and a wonderful, historically accurate addition to my home.

Hinges

We are renovating our house in Redondo Beach, a 100 year old beach bungalow that was stuccoed. We re-faced the exterior to shingles (previously clapboard) and we are keeping the plastered walls and putting your hinges on all of the interior doors. Thanks!

Exactly what we needed

We had acquired 2 original 1930s dressers which had Bakelite handles that were hopelessly worn out beyond repair. We needed a replacement that would not only fit the style but also the color. These worked perfectly in all respects. The pieces look beautiful and the handles honored the 30s Art Deco style. They are also good quality and well made.
