Product Image Gallery:
Interior cast iron and solid brass Leach Stewart & Co. massive double skeleton key mortise door lock. An interior mortise lock is a lock which is used on an interior door that has been cut with a pocket or hole into which the lock is to be fitted. Interior mortise locks commonly include a doorknob hub, through which a doorknob spindle is installed and doorknobs are mounted on each side and secured into place with pins or set screws; and a keyhole which accommodates an old-fashioned bit or skeleton key which in turn throws the deadbolt to lock and unlock the door. Mortise locks have specific dimensions including backset, the measurement from the edge of the faceplate (the strip that shows when the mortise lock is installed in the door) to the center of the doorknob hub; and spacing, the measurement from the center of the doorknob hub to the center of the round part of the keyhole. The dimensions were not standardized in the 19th century so it is important to note the dimensions of your door prior to purchasing a mortise lock.

Good selection...and fast!

The plates look great on our door. Thanks for shipping so fast and for the great and personal service.

Good Product

Our brand new porcelain sink developed cracks almost immediately after install. The cracks then flaked off until we were left with deep, wide cracks. We needed a filler as part of the repair. This was a Godsend! It went on perfectly. We had to do several applications to fill in the damage, but it was worth it. Highly recommend if you need to fill.

Excellent product & customer service

Despite being backordered, I received my knobs with a fairly quick turnaround. They are heavy and well-made. I'm very happy with these in our kitchen!

Like so many of the repros at Historic Houseparts, this repro is VERY authentic appearing & high quality. Nothing available elsewhere at even close the price.

Hinges

We are renovating our house in Redondo Beach, a 100 year old beach bungalow that was stuccoed. We re-faced the exterior to shingles (previously clapboard) and we are keeping the plastered walls and putting your hinges on all of the interior doors. Thanks!

High quality - holds up well

We installed these numbers on our main house in 2011 and they look brand new to this day. Very happy with the weight and quality. Very durable and they look modern and fantastic. We purchased a second set for our back unit in 2018 because we are so happy with them. Great service from Historic House Parts too!

Beautiful!

So happy with these beautiful knobs! We wanted our bathroom to have a special flair and these cabinet pulls completed the look perfectly. A little smaller than we expected, but still a perfect complement to the look we wanted.

Just perfect

I can't recommend this bin pull highly enough. Solid, heavy feel and beautiful shape and finish. The polished nickel looks far more expensive than it is. These were the perfect smaller scale for our drawers in our updated "vintage" kitchen of our 1923 Craftsman home. So glad to find these!
