An antique pair of heavy cast bronze Caenwood by Russwin # 970, Adam's school,
flush pulls. These ravishing sold bronze pulls feature a tulip like border
around the center pull, several flowers, a elegant swag and what looks to be a
pair of snakes on the upper half of the pulls all topped off with a graceful
bow. The Russell & Erwin Manufacturing Company originated in 1839 to produce
locks and builders' hardware, In 1851 it was known as Russell & Erwin until its
merger with P.& F. Corbin in 1902. The American Hardware Corporation was formed
in 1902 as a holding company through the merger of the Russell & Erwin
Manufacturing Company and P. & F. Corbin In. 1964 American Hardware was bought
out by Emhart Corporation and In 1989 Emhart was taken over by Black & Decker.
Sold as pair. There is some slight white paint on the border of the pulls.
Items dimensions are: 2-1/2" x 9"
Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall age of the piece.
