Aesthetic interior pocket door mortise door lock without key or strike. An interior pocket door mortise lock is a lock which is used on an interior pocket door, which is a sliding door that has been cut with a hole into which the lock is to be fitted. Interior pocket door mortise locks commonly include a push button on the faceplate which ejects a ring pull for use in closing the door; and a keyhole which accommodates an old-fashioned bit or skeleton key which in turn throws the deadbolt to lock and unlock the door. These keys are sometimes hinged to fold in on themselves to remain in the lock while the door is open, or within the wall pocket. In case of double pocket doors, one lock acts as the receiver and has no keyholes. Mortise locks have specific dimensions including backset, the measurement from the edge of the faceplate (the strip that shows when the mortise lock is installed in the door) to the center of the doorknob hub (or keyhole in the case of a pocket door lock); and spacing, the measurement from the center of the doorknob hub to the center of the round part of the keyhole. The dimensions were not standardized in the 19th century so it is important to note the dimensions of your door prior to purchasing a mortise lock.

Door Knob Spindle

This worked perfectly. Exactly as it should have. I was so shocked to find it online and so inexpensive. I had looked at antique dealers who wanted $20 or more for an old rusty one and I got it here for less than $4. Thank you so much!

Worked like a charm!

We recently experienced a very large chip in our tub. It had started to rust and that made us very unhappy. Porcafix was very easy to use and the tub looks great!

Bathroom Door Pulls

For the French doors on our new bathroom, it was a challenge to find the right door knobs. We wanted a deep blue to match a Turkish ornament in the floor. These knobs were just the right color. As it turned out, using them as door pulls was the right idea, and we love them!

Wow factor

We bought an Art Deco vanity table, that had ordinary round brown wooden knobs. We replaced those knobs with these Bakelite knobs. The look now catches our eyes and has upped the Wow factor of the piece in our bedroom.

Good Product

Our brand new porcelain sink developed cracks almost immediately after install. The cracks then flaked off until we were left with deep, wide cracks. We needed a filler as part of the repair. This was a Godsend! It went on perfectly. We had to do several applications to fill in the damage, but it was worth it. Highly recommend if you need to fill.
