An antique pair of beautiful Aesthetic style bronze knobs and rosettes, circa 1875 made by Russell & Erwin. The pattern repeats on the backside of the knobs. Decorative hardware, including knobs, emerged after the Centennial Exposition of 1876. Before this time, most door hardware was imported; 95% in 1838. The black enamel has worn off of the knobs but is still visible on the rosettes. Only one pair available.
Rosettes & Knobs: 2-1/8"
Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall age of the piece. The black enamel has worn off of the knobs.
