Anonymous reviewerMay 31, 2019, 00:00High quality but pricey, color mismatch The American Standard Highlyn lavatory (model P3000) in our 1956 split-level, still installed in its original vanity, had a rusted- out overflow. Its color was the original Regency Blue, the *only* shade of blue that was offered that year by American Standard. I cleaned it up as well as possible and then decided to splurge on a 1/2 ounce bottle of Porc-a-Fix for $22 in the original matching color, AS-05. I followed all the directions carefully, including shaking for 30 seconds, letting thin layers dry, etc., and the resulting finish, although nice and glossy like the original, is several shades too light (see photo). Rather disappointing, but at least a lot better-looking than it used to be.

Anonymous reviewerMar 24, 2019, 00:00Perfect match We used the fill-also offered on this site-because our sink developed a deep crack. Once we used the fill, we then painted on the Porc-A-Fix. You can’t tell where the old damage was because-unlike the stuff we tried from the big box store-the color matched perfectly. I don’t know about wear(our crack was on the bridge of a 2bl sink) but I’d use again without hesitation.

Anonymous reviewerApr 2, 2018, 00:00old sink touch up My old American Standard sink was in need of some TLC, so decided to patch the chips versus replace it. This product matched the color perfectly and the help from the staff was outstanding. The product was a bit touchy in the application, but it worked very well.

Gary SobolowFeb 7, 2018, 00:00Perfect color match but a bit too thick. Received the product quickly after a short conversation with a Historic Houseparts representative who helped me to ascertain the name of the color based on the approximate manufacture year of the fixture and a verbal description of its color. My concern is that the bottle I received suggested that I shake it before use. The material inside was way to viscous to allow for that and I ended up having to stir it in the bottle and add a bit of mineral spirits to thin it slightly. At this point I really have no idea of what the viscosity of the product actually is as it was very hard to work with right out of the bottle. Nevertheless, after a bit of thinning I was able to get the material out of the bottle and onto the tubs surface. It is a very nearly perfect color match and the client is very happy with the result. It is easy to see that the contents would go a very long way despite the bottle's small size.

Anonymous reviewerDec 9, 2017, 00:00Porcelain Sink Repair I am so grateful to be able to purchase a product that is very difficult to find due to the age of our sink that needs minor repair. Due to my mistake, I need support to exchange the color I failed to acknowledge and hopefully a representative will assist me.
