This is a gorgeous pair of oak double doors with stained glass panels featuring a leaf design in green tones of slag glass and textured clear glue glass. These doors were salvaged from a Finger Lakes home built circa 1880. The windows do have a few small breaks, see photos for details. The photos show a black line in the glass, this is the seam of the backdrop used behind the doors, it is not part of the doors.

Slag glass, also known as marble glass or malachite glass, is a type of opaque, streaked pressed glass. Production of slag glass originated in late-19th-century England, where glass manufacturers are thought to have added slag from iron-smelting works to molten glass to create a range of effects—from tortoiseshell to marbling. The variations in color and depth that slag glass provides make this style of glass ideal for windows and lamps, providing privacy in windows yet allowing light into rooms.
