An antqiue set of four large cast iron handrail brackets, circa 1870's. The oldest known handrail was uncovered by a French archaeologist in an Assyrian ruin in southern Iraq in the city-state Nippur. Only one set available. No screws included.

Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall age of the piece.
Baseplate: 1-7/8" wide x 5-1/4", total height 6-1/2". 3" base to rail center. Bracket that mounts to rail: 1-1/4" wide x 2-1/4" high.
