An antique pocket door mortise, which also contains a decorative faceplate, flush pull and strike plate all in the coveted Ekado design of flowers on a trellis. This mortise lock was made by Sargent & Co of New Haven, Connecticut. By 1914, the Sargent product catalog listed some 60,000 different items, making it one of the largest hardware manufacturing plants in America. The faceplate and the flush pull both contain the same ekado style, which was a highly sought after style in the late 19th century. This mortise lock is patented August 18, 1885.
