Antique Pair of Brass Wall Sconces with Prismatic Shades

Product Image Gallery:
This is a pair of solid stamped brass oval wall sconces with cast brass arms and prismatic glass shades circa 1910. The shades have a textured surface and festoons in them. One of the shade holders is cracked. These can be installed with shades pointed upwards or downwards for different effects although brass tassels dangle from the bottom of the shade holders. The lights each have a flat key socket to control the light if desired. This style of sconce is suitable for use in a variety of settings including living rooms, parlors, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms. The brass has a soft antique patina that we have just cleaned. Each sconce has been rewired and is ready to install.

Great find

Most catalogs & stores sell wood knobs of cherry, oak, maple, & sometimes pine. Solid, unfinished walnut is hard to find. Historic Houseparts sells these. They are well made, no defects, & come with screws. Company service is excellent, delivery prompt, exactly as advertised. Highly recommended.

Excellent product & customer service

Despite being backordered, I received my knobs with a fairly quick turnaround. They are heavy and well-made. I'm very happy with these in our kitchen!

Arts and Crafts Numbers

It has been a challenge to find house numbers in an Arts and Crafts Style that actually look like it was original to the time period. These numbers hit the nail on the head. I get nervous about buying things online and hope that they look good and these house numbers did not disappoint. I love the finish on them as well. I would purchase from Historic House Parts again!

Perfect Match

This dresser was one step away from the dumpster. I found it at a 2nd hand store for $10. After doing a little research, I found this to be salvageable and I was happy to find your website. Your service was fast and great. The pieces matched perfectly.

Hinges

We are renovating our house in Redondo Beach, a 100 year old beach bungalow that was stuccoed. We re-faced the exterior to shingles (previously clapboard) and we are keeping the plastered walls and putting your hinges on all of the interior doors. Thanks!

Perfect addition to any home

I got this piece to go along with our turn that we also purchased and this is absolutely beautiful. Easy install and a wonderful, historically accurate addition to my home.

Exactly what we needed

We had acquired 2 original 1930s dressers which had Bakelite handles that were hopelessly worn out beyond repair. We needed a replacement that would not only fit the style but also the color. These worked perfectly in all respects. The pieces look beautiful and the handles honored the 30s Art Deco style. They are also good quality and well made.
