This is a beautiful antique double pocket door lock set with original matching flush pulls by Reading Hardware Works. Reading Hardware Works was established in 1872 by William Harbster and his brothers in Reading, PA. One of the pair has a keyhole, the other does not have a keyhole and both are embossed RECO. The decorative cast bronze pulls have lost most of their black enamel as well as the faceplates on the mortise as shown in the photos. The key is hinged to fold in on itself to remain in the lock while the door is open, or within the wall pocket. In the case of double pocket doors, one lock acts as the receiver and has no keyholes. Please see the dimensions tab for size information.
