An antique stamped steel Alby design door set in a mottled bronze finish likely made by Sargent, circa 1900. This entire set is in the same finish including the knob spindle and mortise lock case, the set included a pair of knob, mortise lock and two backplates. Before 1846, metal knobs were made from two pieces brazed together or three pieces soldered together. Cast metal knobs were introduced around 1846. Only one set available.

Very Good condition: showing no signs of heavy damage to structure or finish but may have small imperfections which are minor when considered against the overall age of the piece. The case is broken on one side by the keyhole however it does not impact functionality at all the deadbolt does work with a key.
