A heavy vintage Richmond Fireproof Door Co, door with steel door jam. With strong, clean lines and without a hint of excess this industrial fire door with steel cladding is sure to add hints of vintage charm to any room. The door has a working spring loaded locking mechanism with a handle on each side however the spring is wearing out. There is a catch on the door jam, hinges on the door and jam and there is a pulley in the top corner of the jam and a strap on the top of the door for an automatic closure that is no longer with the door .The name plate also states it was inspected by Underwriters Laboratory in the late 1940's.
