Product Image Gallery:

This is a pair of porcelain wall sconces with opal glass shades by the Alabax Company, a division of Pass & Seymour, in very good condition. There is some roughness to the edge of the glass shades which is normal for this style of shade. There is an outlet on the light fixture body that is no longer wired. Rewired. $350. This is from the Alabax catalog of 1936: "Alabax Porcelain Lighting Fixtures will not tarnish, rust, stain, or change their color. They are fired at a temperature of approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit. The glazes become an integral part of the fixture- therefore not subject to peeling or change in color." The Alabax Division of Pass & Seymour was located in Solvay Station, Syracuse, NY.

Great, affordable

I was having trouble sourcing lifts that were good quality, and matched with all of the other hardware in the kitchen. These fit the bill, and were less than half what I have seen elsewhere. They are solid, nicely weighted. Worth knowing that they are cast rather than stamped, so holes can be slightly different from one to another -- means that you have to be careful with measuring and leveling. But the upside is a truly historic and great-looking lift.

Arts and Crafts Numbers

It has been a challenge to find house numbers in an Arts and Crafts Style that actually look like it was original to the time period. These numbers hit the nail on the head. I get nervous about buying things online and hope that they look good and these house numbers did not disappoint. I love the finish on them as well. I would purchase from Historic House Parts again!

Wow factor

We bought an Art Deco vanity table, that had ordinary round brown wooden knobs. We replaced those knobs with these Bakelite knobs. The look now catches our eyes and has upped the Wow factor of the piece in our bedroom.

great hinges

I mistakenly ordered the brushed nickel hinges and called the company right after ordering to change it to the polished nickel hinges. They were awesome in correcting my order and I am thrilled with the quality! I am very impressed and will use them again. So happy I was able to match the hinges I already had for my camper.

Great candles!

I purchased these candle covers to replace the ugly gold ones on my dining room chandelier. They make my 15 year old chandelier look like new!

Polished Brass Leg Tub Enclosure Set

I absolutely love the way this looks in my new bathroom. I can't comment on how easy or hard the installation was, since I had it done professionally.

PERFECT

So glad to learn about these awesome little tools to help save my walls in my 100 year old house! My large framed art hangs solidly on my walls without dinging them up or leaving nasty holes. What's more, it beats pounding several holes in the walls, should I change my mind about where I want things hung. Thanks!

Bathroom Door Pulls

For the French doors on our new bathroom, it was a challenge to find the right door knobs. We wanted a deep blue to match a Turkish ornament in the floor. These knobs were just the right color. As it turned out, using them as door pulls was the right idea, and we love them!
