A beautiful pair of very rare silverplate slip-shade sconces c. 1930 with a polychrome finish on the fiixture body and hand painted amber shades featuring a Tuscan harvest scene. These were shown in the Gill Glass & Fixture Catalog No. 17. They are advertised there as "For the Dining Room, Breakfast Room, and Sun Parlor". These are very unusual and emit a soft amber glow when illuminated. There are some chips to the painted surface of the shades.
These measure 11-1/4" high each.
This item is an antique item that is in good working condition with no noticeable flaws or damage beyond normal wear and patination of a piece of this age. There is wear to the painted detail in the glass shades. We have rewired this fixture using UL-list
