An antique heavy cast bronze Eastlake door set. The knobs are made by Canadian Mfg. Peterboro Circa 1885. This set includes a mortise lock by P. & F. Corbin with an Eastlake style faceplate, a pair of knobs with the pattern repeating on the back of the knobs and two plates. Excellent condition with exquisite details. In 1858 a group of Peterborough (Canada) citizens organized The Peterboro Lock Mfg. Co. Ltd., the first firm to manufacture locks in Canada. Only one set available.
Mortise Lock: Backset 2-3/8", Spacing 2-1/8", Case 3-1/4" x 3-1/2", Face 7/8" x 5-1/4". Backplates: 2-5/8" x 5-1/4".
