June-2015-demo1
Salvage of 18 City Houses in Rochester, NY
June and July were very busy months for us here at HHP. Our staff worked on salvaging 18 vintage City houses here in Rochester, NY which was a stretch for our small team and our warehouse too. Our team was able to go in and remove doors, casings, flooring, hardware, windows, light fixtures, heat grates, and other architectural pieces which we've now moved over to our warehouses. Thes buildings were demolished as part of a development project happening in downtown Rochester. We're always sad to see homes that are in restorable condition demolished, but we are also grateful that the developers had the patience and foresight to allow us to purchase salvage rights and get in there to save what we could. Its a hot, sweaty, dirty job to do in the summer months, and it was a very tight schedule, but we did it.

New Industrial Barn Door Hardware
We're excited to bring you a new line of industrial barn door hardware this month. We're now offering these items from several manufacturers. This particular line has a very Steampunk-inspired design that looks just like the antique rollers we get in here from time to time. Very industrial chic, we love these when paired with antique doors. They provide a space-saving and rustic industrial look to any renovation project.

Repurposed Window
Upcycling & Repurposing at HHP
We love to repurpose old parts into new useful items, and we are excited to welcome a new (old) staff member whose purpose in life here is to upcycle every week. Cindy has worked at HHP for many years in our new hardware department and she's transitioning into a new role here to exercise her imagination and hands-on skills. She's creatively repurposing a variety of found objects from our inventory including windows, shutters, antique flatware, coffee bean bags from a local coffee roaster, and whatever else she finds in our warehouse or at flea markets. If you have ideas for us send them along and we'll give it a try.

New Arts & Crafts Mailboxes
The E7 mailboxes have been redesigned with an embossed pattern rather than a separate white metal ornament that was previously welded onto the surface. The new design is much cleaner in design and streamlined in style. The mailbox features acrylic apertures to view mail in the box. This beautiful mailbox is available in 6 finishes: antique copper, copper, black pewter, satin nickel, bronze and satin brass.
